The mission of the Student Leadership Retreat is to develop purpose-driven student leaders through intentional leadership education, reflection, mentorship and hands-on learning.
Through participating in this program, you will recognize your leadership potential, apply your strengths in meaningful ways, and engage actively in personal and professional development.

The next WashU Student Leadership Retreat will take place the weekend of September 26–27, 2026 at YMCA Trout Lodge in Potosi, MO. Applications are open now!

Students will explore their core values and examine how their identities influence their approach to leadership.

Students will strengthen their ability to work in teams and learn skills that help navigate group dynamics

Students will learn how to turn individual and group goals into actionable steps and effective plans.
What will I gain?
By attending the Student Leadership Retreat, you will:
- Build meaningful connections with peers, mentors and campus partners
- Strengthen key leadership skills such as strategic planning, communication, delegation and teamwork
- Map out your leadership journey and create your own path to leadership at WashU
