Sororities and fraternities have played an important role for undergraduate students at Washington University in St. Louis for more than 100 years.

About 1,200 students are members of a sorority or fraternity, making up approximately 18 percent of the undergraduate student population. We currently have 26 recognized chapters: 

One National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inc., (NALFO)
10 Interfraternity Council (IFC) Chapters
Three campus-based and six city-wide National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) chapters
Six Women’s Panhellenic Association (WPA) Chapters

Students wishing to live in an on-campus fraternity house fill complete a Residential Life housing contract through the Housing Portal and pay fraternity housing costs.
