Signature events

Fall Welcome: Held annually in August, In the Lou Programming offers excursions into St. Louis as part of Bear Beginnings
Day of Service: An annual event held each Spring for students, faculty, and staff to be able to give back to St. Louis. When we all come together, it creates big change for our city!
Alternative Breaks: For students who will remain in St. Louis during Fall, Winter and Spring breaks, Campus Life Alt Break programming provides opportunities to engage and connect with, and contribute to, the broader St. Louis community through service (i.e. volunteering).

Past service experiences include helping to restore Greenwood Cemetery, a historic African-American cemetery in North St. Louis, invasive plant species removal with Great Rivers Greenway, and assisting the St. Patrick Center with supporting the city’s unhoused population.

Time commitment is low (2-3 hours) and transportation is provided.

All experiences are led by a Campus Life staff member.
